Housekeepers are essential in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our clubhouse, dining, storage, locker rooms and outdoor areas. The ideal candidate needs to be a team player who is friendly, outgoing, compassionate, people-oriented and has excellent communication and client service skills. Applicants must also be able to work with various different personalities and be flexible with their schedule. Applicants must have a positive attitude, be hard working, self-motivated, and able to multi-task and want to be a part of a team environment.

Responsibilities:

Applicants will be responsible for the following:

Light Maintenance
Mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, laundry
Stock housekeeping supplies as needed
Cleaning of restrooms on a daily basis
Ability to walk, bend, stand and reach constantly during a minimum 8-hour day
Maintains a sanitary work environment by cleaning, vacuuming, and polishing front of house and back of house equipment and rooms
Setup dining areas and private rooms based on floor plans provided from management
Any other duty or assignments given by the housekeeping manager

Qualifications:

Hard working
Able to lift at least 40lbs.
Willingness to help others
Able to multitask and organize
Upbeat and positive attitude
Behaves professionally and can be flexible in a changing environment
High School Diploma/ GED preferred

Today, the club’s primary objective is to be a family-oriented social and recreational club that offers world class facilities and services.

Skokie Country Club’s Donald Ross Style golf course is one of the best on the North Shore and is nestled up to a scenic forest preserve. The club is proud to have hosted some of the greatest names in the game of golf along with the 1922 U.S. Open (called the National Open at the time) and the 2010 & 2017 Western Amateur.

The racquets program at Skokie Country Club is very popular and continues to grow. The club has six outdoor Har-Tru tennis courts and six paddle tennis courts. The $1.5 Million dollar paddle facility was nicknamed “the Taj Mahut” by the Chicago Tribune. There are currently over 300 men and women participating in the paddle program.

In 2016, the club opened a new $5.5M pool facility. The new facility was a hit with the membership and experienced record crowds throughout the season. Food and beverage sales at the new Poolside Café cleared $183,000 (nearly double the previous average).

The food and beverage operation at the club is among the finest in the area. The club’s food and beverage program is made distinctive through the use of three organic gardens, honey bees and a dry aging room. The club is also in the process of certifying the eggs from its different varieties of hens. The long tenured service staff cultivates a family oriented atmosphere that is highly cherished by the membership.

The club has undergone extensive renovations and expansions to the original 1911 building over the past 15 years.
